An often untapped source of getting people to your site that is targeted for your niche is Press Release. Press release can drive traffic to your site through SEO and news folder niches on Yahoo, Bing and Google. Most people think that submitting a press release would have to pay hundreds of dollars. Well the fact is there are numerous free resources to submit your press release through.
If you have a new blog or you have a portfolio to sell, make a news release about it. So here are a few tips when you make a news release:
- In Heading 1 format, make your tag line interesting. An example is “xyz.com launches new domain blog for buyers and sellers of aftermarket domain names”
- Within your text, use hyperlinks and link backs
- Don’t get off subject. Use 4-5 paragraphs in the press release and state what is new and how it helps the user
- Offer a newsletter signup and state in the PR that this is a free resource to stay in-touch with the industry.
